Note 1: The City of Chicago requires all platform/stages over 24" tall and any tent/canopy/marquees over 400 sq.ft. to be permitted. Each Site must be permitted separately. The City requires 2 weeks review time.
Note 2: The City of Chicago requires the Architect to Self-Certify the Architectural Drawings and perform an Inspection for all tent/platform/stages over 4000 sf, or less than 2 week city review time frame.
Architectural Tent/Platform/Stage Fees:
One Tent/Platform/Stage (over 24") with Site Plan.
Additional Different Size Tent/Platform/Stage on same site.
Additional Furniture/Seating Plan (within tent) .
Additional Same Size Tent/Platform/Stage on same site.
Reinstatement of Previous Event (resubmitting permitted drawings).
Administrative Relief submittal (for tents closer than 20 to any building).
(Note: Admin. Relief requires 1 extra week time frame)
The Above Fees Include:
1) Signed/Sealed Drawings (PDF s)
2) Signed/Sealed Wind Calculation Sheets
3) Normal Delivery 3 weeks from receiving Worksheet (1 week drawing + 2 weeks City Review)
Additional Architectural Tent/Platform Fees:
Rush Fee = Less than 3 weeks to Set-up date (from receiving Worksheet).
Self Certification & Field Inspection (All Tents/Platforms/Stages over 4000 sf or less than 3 week time frame) up to 3 tents/platforms/stages.
More than 3 tents/platforms/stages per event .additional $
(Includes Self-Certification & Signed/Sealed Certification of Inspection Letter)
Permit Submittal Fees:
City of Chicago Permit Submittal New or Reinstatement.
Unincorporated Cook County Permit Submittals Varies per project
Notes: 1) Any Large tents (4,000 sf or above) will be charged an extra $
2) Clearspan/Structure tents 4,000 sf or above require a Structural Peer Review.
3) City of Chicago also requires Engineering Calcs for all Clearspan/Structure Tents.
